Estates and Trusts

Taleff & Murphy, P.C. employs recognized planning techniques to meet both an individual's or a family's personal goals, while minimizing transfer and estate taxes. Our services include the preparation of wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, durable powers of attorney for healthcare, living wills, charitable planning and charitable giving, charitable trusts, family foundations and gifts to public foundations and donor-advised funds.

We routinely administer estates on a day-to-day basis from the probate of a decedent's will through the final accounting and distribution of the assets. We draft the court documents and guide our clients throughout the estate administration process. We are experienced in handling assets which are difficult to value and in representing clients at trial and appellate court levels. When the situation dictates, we also handle litigation respecting our clients' estates, trusts, beneficiaries or foundations. We also advise trustees with respect to the proper administration of trusts and beneficiaries with respect to their rights in such entities.

Our clients include individuals, married couples, family business owners, executives, physicians, attorneys, and other professionals who require advanced estate planning tools.
